Fly away Home

I'm loving doing my jewelry at the moment. This piece again with Mica and my beautiful rusted bird a friend sent me, well its rusted now LOL.

Ro asked me if the mica splits on the edges no I havent had that trouble but the spotted mica was thick and I sanded the edges with a soft file. You could try a fine bit of PVA glue on the edges to stop it fraying.

The tin photo is another of my treasures that one day I said I would use it and yes the day has come.
Yes the bird's nest is the craze with me at the moment!!!(thank you Deryn for your help your an inspiration)

Hope you enjoy it,

Jen

Jen, these two necklaces are awesome! Definitely got me inspired.

And thank you for your comment on "Will we find them beautiful?"...so greatly appreciated.

Oh, and Tricia has informed me that you created "Nature Boy"...!!! I'm not sure why I didn't make the connection...there is your name right next to it. When I bought the current SS, the magazine opened to that page and Nature Boy was the first thing I saw in it...I literally sat there with my mouth hanging open. I made my fiance look at it. I kept flipping back to it. I wrote Tricia an email about it. Not kidding. I'm mesmerized by that piece. So, thank you for sharing that with the us.
