Brace yourself

Yesterday was a great day not much really happened but while looking for some supplies in Nicole's room (sorry Nicole) I had all sorts of inspirations sometime we all lose our mojo and yes it has hit me as well, I think I try to force it to come but it wont raise its ugly head LOL.
I found by looking through my rusty bits N Pieces and my LOST treasures my mind started to work over time with all sorts of idea's it was good therapy.
This piece was made with as the title suggests a set of old braces (suspenders) they were a great find and have those amazing metal findings on them I also used the suspenders elastic it was too good to cut off .I then added a tin photo I have to attach chain but as normal I had to show you.
So if the mojo is low, look through your supplies it really worked for me. Think outside the square when you look at objects

Lost ART

Well it has been a busy week, I just want to thank everyone who commented on my glass house book. I was overwhelmed with your wonderful comments so THANK YOU guys.

This necklace was a challenge for me I wanted to do cold connections on it and after alot of work holding my tongue the right way here it is.

It is an old optical lense. I chopped the top off with my trusted dremel, then sanded it to remove the bright red paint. Then using Tim Holtz alcohol inks, I using a metal punch to add the words "Lost Art". I followed Richard Salley's free workshop link to make a cold connection necklaces and here it is.

People in glass house

People in glass houses well you know the rest LOL.

This weekend I decided to finally do myself a glass house book (yes I know; obessed with houses LOL).

I bought a kit years ago from some great people in Bakersfield California; Tom and Romona Ashman, they taught a square version of this book at Art N Soul years ago. Since I couldn't go (and I just had to do it) I made the other square one for a dear friend and still hadn't done one for myself.

And so; the House glass shaped book. It is made from copper plumbers tape and I found it very hard on the hand to cut and bend to make the spine, but here it is. I hope you like it!
