The De Meng fever cont"s ???

Hi Everyone,

Here is the last piece I did in Micheal's class ,I LOVE the paint techinque he uses and I applied it to gold wings and here is the result YUMMO !!

Mine was a 3d piece so here is the side angle. I used an old camera which was so cool.

This was the transparence class, but I didnt quite do the transparence like Michael showed us ,I will use that techinque in another piece.

It was so great to spend some time with some one on the same intellectual level as I am. Michael and I talked for hours on world issues and debated politics. But the tough question which is one of life's mysteries (and this is when this photo was taken)

If a bear shits in the woods does anyone really hear him??

Have a good weekend

Jen

If a bear shits in the woods, and you are close enough to hear him, I think the answer would be, YOU would be shitting yourself!!! LOL

Exquiste, divine work. Thanks for sharing, great you had such a wonderful time with a kind and generous artist.

Jen, yet another great piece. Love the colours and composition. Tell me, was the paint technique you used on the wings "the ussszh"? (Sorry, I can't remember how Michael spells it.)
I just bought some vintage camera parts to use in assemblage and for a class with Keith Lo Bue at Artfest. It was very inspirational to see how you used your camera piece. Thanks for sharing.

That is stunning Jen, I love the camera and the wings.

and in answer to your question...
well I would have to say that it would depend on whether the bear was constipated or not!
sorry couldn't resist!

I don't really know the answer to your question, but here's something else to think about from one of the great philosophers of our time (Eddie Murphy):
A bear came across a rabbit in the woods, and asked him "Do you have trouble with shit sticking to your fur?" The rabbit said "No". So the bear wiped his arse with the rabbit.
I love how you've finished off your piece - sorry to bring the tone of this blog post a little bit further!

Your piece is absolutely beautiful. Just the type of stuff I would love to do. The workshop must have been really wonderful. As for the philosophy question, it depends on whether the trees are really listening.

Jen, the piece you did with Michael is spectacular! I am so looking forward to my class with him in May. I was drooling over some work that Karen Cole did with him just last night.

The bear question has me affecting the same pose right now.
