Im Back?

Hi Everyone,
I have been pretty quiet in blog land and in the real world as well.
I have re hurt an old back injury so I have been trying to take it easy (Yeah right I’m a mother LOL).
Here is a class I will be teaching in Ballarat in a couple of weeks at The Imagination Factory. A mini bird house it has metal sides that you cant see the rest is paper. I was inspired by Deryn Mentock with the wire and Paper twisting on the bottom of the house.
I’m currently working on another project which I hope to share with you soon
Jen

Dang it Jen, you are so very popular what with all the comments in the previous posts. But here I am I get to be first on this one. (I hope since it is taking me awhile to write this long comment)

I wanted to stop by and say a few things to you.

1. Thanks for all your comments over the last few months that I have not returned because I have been so busy.
2. Thanks for coming back and commenting again even though I have been remiss.
3. I love your etching and really did want to see them as I have been into it too lately.
4. I was very inspired by your etch on nickel and I am going to try it now. A good substitute for silver which is getting so expensive. This book necklace is really amazing!
5. Yes, it was really fun taking that class with Tim. We were all laughing and trying to keep up with all that was going on.
6. I'll bet your class would be very fun to do as well.
7. I hope someday we get to meet even though we are all the way around the other side of the world from each other. The way you write is a kick! I am entertained.

Catherine

P.S. Laughing at the Charlie's Angels photo.

Love the house Jen! And while I have admired Derryn's leaves for a while yours have their own style.

So sorry about the back.. I have suffered with a bad back for years, then I got a little hairy man who thinks it is his right to sleep on the bed, right in the curve of my back - no problems for over 12 months! Not sure how hubby would feel, but I am swearing by my barking hot water bottle LOL
I just saw Ro's comment about your class with Keith LoBue and remembered how jealous I am Wahhhh!

OHHH. LOVE this little birdie house and I love the twisted wire. I just cleaned out a birdhouse that had been finished for the season and I found a precious blue egg in it. The babies flew out but it looks like one little egg never made it. I have it preserved in a tiny nest on my porch. I just love my birds. I miss their spring and summer mating calls so much. Music to my ears.
Take care with your back. I think many of us share that same kind of misery with you. Mine acted up this past weekend with too much dancing. Now I remember why I always hated doing the "twist".....

What a sweet birdhouse! Hope your class goes well. I am sending good thoughts your way regarding your back. I, too, have a back condition and know very well how it can put the rest of your life on hold while you heal.
